Eddie Nartey lost his wife, Vida Ohenewaa Nartey in 2021. A private ceremony was held in Accra on Saturday, March 13, 2021, to bid her farewell.

James Gardiner, Bismarck the Joke, Peter Richie, and Foster Romanus, who were also his groomsmen, were among the eminent Ghanaian colleagues and friends who attended the event.
Cathie, the bride, exuded elegance in her blue and yellow kente outfit, which complemented Eddie Nartey’s own mustard-yellow kente clothing beautifully.
Some of his fans however feel he has moved on too quickly. They felt he that he had to wait at least 5 years before getting married again.
