Ghanaian singer Sista Afia disclosed that she occasionally sobs because of Ghanaians’ lack of support, particularly for female musician, speaking on Onua TV’s Onua Showtym with McBrown,
Women in the profession do not receive as much support as their male counterparts, she said, expressing her dissatisfaction.
“The lack of support from Ghanaians sometimes makes me sit at home and cry,” she remarked. “Music is everything to me, so when I don’t get the support I need, it gets scary.”
Sista Afia has previously expressed her worries over the difficulties faced by female musicians. She has consistently advocated for greater support and exposure for women in the music business throughout the years, pointing out the obstacles they encounter in obtaining chances and recognition.
She is still dedicated to her work in spite of the setbacks. She emphasized her resolve to keep creating music by revealing that she has created her own recording studio. Sista Afia promised her followers that she has no intention of stopping, saying that she will continue to create songs for another fifty years.
