Galamsey Workers Protest

In a surprising twist, Galamsey workers, who engage in illegal mining, have staged their own protest in response to the “Say No to Galamsey” demonstrators.

The counter-protest, held in several mining regions, saw workers voicing their disapproval of the anti-Galamsey movement, which aims to stop illegal mining due to its destructive impact on the environment.

While the original “Say No to Galamsey” protesters highlighted the environmental damage caused by illegal mining, including deforestation and water pollution, the Galamsey workers argued that they rely on mining for their livelihoods.

Holding signs that read “Galamsey Feeds Us” and “We Need Our Jobs,” the workers claimed that the crackdown on their activities would leave them without any means of income.

The humorous yet serious clash of protests highlights the complex issue of balancing economic survival with environmental protection, leaving authorities and citizens divided on the best way forward.
