Despite facing criticism from netizens who accuse her of not practicing what she preaches, Maame Yeboah Asiedu firmly asserts that her credibility as a pastor and counselor remains intact.
Ghanaians have been quick to condemn her for divorcing her husband of 19 years and hastily marrying another man just 14 days later, labeling her as a hypocrite.
The famed media personality vehemently refuted the accusation, asserting that her divorce has not damaged her integrity as a counselor and that she is not a liar.
She adamantly declared that since her husband, not her, made the decision to leave, she should not be held responsible for the dissolution of her marriage.
She explained that her ex-husband pressured her into agreeing to the divorce, even though she had not done anything wrong. She further clarified that she agreed to the separation based on advice from the judge handling their case in court.
“When the issue went to court the judge advised me that if my husband decided not to marry me again and I agreed to it then I should allow it to happen and I did to set myself free. I didn’t wrong him and he knows. So please I am not a liar or I don’t practice what I preach, I still stand by it.
“The man I have married, I will never leave him unless maybe he decides to divorce me. if not, I will stay with him till thy kingdom come. So be happy for me because nothing has happened. It surprises you because my divorce was silent and you don’t expect me to tell you” She said in a TikTok Live session monitored by GhanaWeb.
