A student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), identified as Akosua Owusuaa, has reportedly died under mysterious circumstances.

Owusuaa reportedly fell sick in school last week and, after some days, made her way home to seek further treatment. Tragically, she was reported dead in the early hours of Monday.

According to reports, the deceased was a Level 300 student studying for a degree in Forest Resource Technology.

News of her death has left her family and friends stunned. On social media, netizens were flabbergasted to learn of yet another tragic student death on the KNUST campus.

Akosua’s death comes shortly after another student, Joanna Deladem Yabani was found killed on the school’s campus. Joanna was later found out to have been murdered by her own boyfriend, a fellow Level 400 biological sciences student, Daniel Tuffuour. Tuffuor is currently on remand ahead of his trial.

Aside from Joana, news reports of students being reported dead at KNUST are nothing new, leading to some backlash from social media users.

Netizens called for a ‘spiritual intervention’ at the school, with many wondering what exactly was leading to all these ‘strange’ deaths.
