Wisconsin: At least seven dead after huge blaze breaks out in apartment building

A terrible fire attacked an apartment complex on Friday morning, killing seven people.

The fire broke out around 5 a.m. local time on Mansfield Court in Hartland, Wisconsin, about 26 miles from Milwaukee.

The tragic blaze that raced through the four-family building required the participation of 15 fire agencies and nine police departments.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, according to police, who have opened an inquiry.

One officer said: “This is a tragic incident for the residents and the community involved.”

When first responders got on the scene, they were faced with a big blaze and began to remove individuals from the building.

The Wisconsin State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory, the Hartland Police and Fire Departments, and the Waukesha Sheriff’s Office are all investigating the incident.
