Because of the circumstances surrounding the incident, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office has closed the case and decided not to pursue charges.

According to the office, they include the victim’s actions leading up to the event, Tyson’s interaction with the victim, and both the victim and Tyson’s pleas that no charges be made in this case.

According to Tyson’s representatives, the boxer was on a flight when an angry passenger began bothering him and tossed a water bottle at him while he was seated.

Tyson is shown repeatedly pounding the unnamed man in the head, producing blood, in a video released on April 20th.
