She wrote’

I spent last year’s Mother’s Day wondering if I would live to see my child catch her first school bus. This year I refused to do the same and filled my weekend with knowledge, love and friendship.

On May 8th, 2020 I received a call that no one ever expects especially not two weeks before their 36th Birthday. This year I got to see my best friends for the 1st time since August 2019. I spent Mother’s Day with my Mom by our favorite place in the whole wide world, the ocean. And my father accompanied me to meet my consulting doctor in person at The Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She has been an invaluable resource, and support system for my family and I and it was an honor to get to hug her in person and tell her as much.

Happy belated to all the Mom’s out there doing their best to be present and soak up every inch of their babies. Life is such a gift and I feel so full of it.
