Jalen Hill was a former UCLA forward who spent four years with the Bruins from 2017 to 2021, redshirting his first year but playing in the next three.
Jalen’s best season came in the 2019-2020 campaign, where he started in 25 games from UCLA and averaged nine 9.0 rebounds a game.
Midway through Jalen Hill’s final season with UCLA in 2021, Jalen Hill stepped away from the game to take a break.
He would later retire from basketball, citing a healthier lifestyle both physically and mentally without the game after battling both anxiety and depression.
How did Jalen Hill die?
The former UCLA forward died which was confirmed by Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times reports, according to Bolch, his former high school coach, Josh Giles confirmed the news of his passing.
According to Jeff Goodman, Jalen Hill went missing while in Costa Rica and there are limited details circulating about his death.
“To hear something like this is next-level devastating,” Giles said.
