A 72-year-old man was found stabbed to death in his bed on Staten Island this week, and police are investigating it as a homicide.
A home health aide found the victim, identified as Eugene Reba, unconscious in his bed with multiple stab wounds to the torso on Monday morning, according to the NYPD.
The health aide called 911 after discovering the grisly discovery, and officers arrived at the home in the 1200 block of Richmond Avenue around 10:40 a.m., according to police.
EMTs pronounced Reba dead at the scene.
The incident was ruled a homicide, but no further information was immediately available.
Police would not say whether the victim was the victim of a single incident or if there is a threat to the general public.
