Adam Paul Bandt is the leader of the Australian Greens and the federal Member of Parliament for Melbourne. He is a former industrial lawyer. He previously served as the Greens’ co-deputy leader from 2012 to 2015 and again from 2017 to 2020.
Bandt was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010, becoming the first member of the Green Party to do so in a federal election, and the second overall after Michael Organ, who was elected in a by-election.
