(VIDEO) Headmaster tells students to stop writing their exams and beat WASSCE invigilators

A WAEC invigilator who was assaulted by the final year student of Bright Senior High School has narrated his ordeal in the hands of the student and especially the headmaster of the Kukruntumi -Koforidua based school.

This years WAEC examination has been muddied with disturbing news of students rioting and vandalizing school properties and equipments. So far, students of Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School and Juaben Senior High School, both in the Ashanti Region; as well as their colleagues at Ndewura Jakpa Senior High Technical School in the Savanna Region, have rioted over strict invigilation and the difficulty of the exam questions.

However, the incident in Bright Senior High School shows how the headmaster of the school is identified as the instigator of the whole violence and harm that was melted on the WAEC invigilator.

According to the story shared on micro-blogging platform twitter by Mutombo, a friend of the assaulted invigilator, the headmaster of the secondary school, Mr Bright Amposah is believed to have collected monies from the students and promised to allow them copy each other during the examination.

Unknown to the students, the headmaster had no right to do so and the strictness of the invigilators from WAEC irked him. He then asked the students to come out of the exams halls and charge on the invigilators.

The students used stones, sticks and other available equipment including compasses to attack the invigilators leading to some sustaining injuries on their faces and bodies. The headmaster was released by the police after he was arrested. The police stated ‘order from above’ as their reason.
