Trey Lyles Career

Lyles primarily plays the power forward position and is known for his outside shooting and versatility on the court.

Lyles played college basketball at the University of Kentucky for one season before declaring for the NBA draft in 2015.

He was selected in the first round, 12th overall, by the Utah Jazz in the 2015 NBA draft. Lyles played for the Jazz for two seasons before being traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2017. He spent two seasons with the Nuggets before signing with the San Antonio Spurs in 2019.

In August 2021, Lyles signed a two-year, $5 million contract with the Detroit Pistons. In his career, Lyles has played in over 400 NBA games and has averaged around 7 points and 4 rebounds per game.

Lyles has also represented Canada internationally, including at the 2014 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship and the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship.

He was also a member of the Canadian national team at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
