24 years old is simply far, far too young for anyone to pass away. This news is completely new, and we don’t know what happened or what caused his death. It is horrible stuff, and at this dreadful time, our thoughts are with Anton’s friends, family, and teammates.
When he was 16 years old, Walkes enrolled in the Tottenham academy and, as a young player, accompanied Spurs on a few of their preseason tours. Although he was thought to be a young, talented player, it seemed unlikely that he would become a regular contributor at a club competing in the Champions League. He may have had a few substitute appearances for the Spurs first team, but he never played for the senior club. He was borrowed by Atlanta United.
