Texas woman sets fire to boyfriend’s home in jealous rage

After suspecting her boyfriend of cheating on her, a Texas lady allegedly set fire to his family house and FaceTimed him to show off the flames.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Senaida Marie Soto, 23, is accused of breaking into the San Antonio home just before 2 a.m. on Sunday in order to avenge her boyfriend.

When Soto’s boyfriend’s phone rang, another woman answered who later turned out to be a relative of the boyfriend, the police said. Soto was FaceTiming her boyfriend at the time.

Soto is accused of setting fire to a couch in the living room in a fit of wrath, which swiftly spread to the rest of the house.

A chair was then set on fire and the envious woman FaceTimed her boyfriend to show it, according to an affidavit obtained by KSAT.

Before hanging up the phone, Soto allegedly said, “I hope your things is going to be ok.”

Before leaving, Soto allegedly texted her boyfriend, “I hope your house is good.”

According to a witness who spoke to police, Soto allegedly pulled various items out of the house before lighting it on fire and put them all in the car.

Damage from the fire totaled more than $50,000.

According to Bexar County Jail records, Soto was detained on Monday and charged with burglary of a dwelling and arson.

$165,000 has been set as her bond.
