One of the Jets’ defensive stalwarts will be out for several games.
Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins dislocated an elbow in Sunday’s win against the Bills and is slated to miss four to six weeks, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Rankins has started all nine games for the Jets this season after joining the team last year after five seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
The 6-3 Jets have a bye this week before traveling to New England to face the Patriots, hosting the Bears, and then facing the Vikings and Bills on the road.
