SEVILLA OFFICIALLY SACK MANAGER JULEN LOPETEGUI
On Wednesday evening, Sevilla confirmed the departure of manager Julen Lopetegui.
The announcement follows the club’s 4-1 defeat at home to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Sevilla has also struggled recently in LaLiga, currently sitting 17th in the table, one point above relegation, with one win, two draws, and four losses leading to the club’s decision.
Lopeteugi’s career, however, may not be over yet, with the 56-year-old named as the favorite to take over Wolves in the Premier League following the departure of Bruno Lage.
His overall record as a manager, which includes stints at FC Porto, Real Madrid, and the Spain national team, is 221 wins, 80 draws, and 66 losses in 367 games.
