A schoolboy is fighting for his life after being hit by a double-decker bus on his way to school during rush hour.
After being struck around 8 a.m. yesterday in South London, the 11-year-old was critically injured.
‘Officers were called at 8.13 am on Tuesday, October 4, to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Norwood Road, SE27,’ said a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman.
‘London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended and the pedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital – he remains there in a critical condition.’
Officers added that the boy’s next of kin have been informed.
The bus driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation, the Met said.
No arrests have been made.
