As additional information about House Rep. George Santos’ complicated identity comes to light, it has been claimed that the congressman once disguised as a drag queen named “Kitara” while residing in Brazil more than ten years ago.

According to a story by writer Marisa Kabas from the Substack site “The Handbasket,” Santos, who is said to have used a variety of identities in his truth-challenged past, appears to be shown in a photo from 2008 wearing a drag costume.

Eula Rochard, a drag performer in Brazil and a former acquaintance of Santos, gave Kabas the most recent glimpse into Santos’ youth.

According to the article, Santos and Rochard first met while Rochard was already well-known as a drag queen in a Brazilian city close to Rio de Janeiro.

She recalled meeting Santos, who was then known as Anthony, when he was about 16 or 17 years old. When his mother was playing bingo, he used to hang out in my home.

According to reports, Santos has gone by the names Anthony Devolder and Anthony Zabrovsky.

After being exposed for a series of lies regarding his college background, career history, and Jewish origin, among other tall tales that keep adding up, the freshman congressman became a national laughing stock.

A stunning New York Times exposé shortly before the start of his first term in government essentially disproved the personal narrative he had used during the campaign.

Local, state, and federal officials are looking into the lawmaker’s extensive litany of lies and his dubious campaign finance, while Brazilian prosecutors have reactivated a 2008 fraud case against him.

Santos, the first openly gay Republican elected to the House who is not an incumbent, has defied calls for him to step down.

In her conversation with Kabas, Rochard revealed that she recently saw Santos on Brazilian television and messaged her friends from the time she knew Santos to let them know she thought it was him. She discovered the old photograph and posted it on Instagram after her friends began to suspect her.

She revealed to Kabas that the photograph was shot in 2008 at the Niteroi Pride Parade at Icarai Beach. George had temporarily vanished, left for Brazil with a large sum of money, and then returned about the time the photo was shot.

According to the report, Rochard said that Santos had never been a professional drag performer.

She reportedly added, “He did not have what it took to be a professional.” “George lacked the glitz for that,” someone said.

Santos, according to Rochard, “lied about everything.”

She said to Kabas that “he used to make up things, generally involving money, like that his dad was wealthy.” “However, many began to question why his mother worked as a maid. Although there is nothing wrong with working as a cleaning lady, if his father was wealthy, why?
