When the car fire started, witnesses frantically dialed emergency services, which dispatched them to the scene.

The car’s collision with a barrier close to the bike lane is likely to have ignited the fire.

According to the police, the fire was not considered a terrorist incident.

As black smoke rose from the black automobile, firefighters could be seen battling the flames in the video.

Additionally, one can hear emergency personnel urging at bikers to avoid the car.

The driver, a man in his 20s, managed to escape with no major wounds.

Oliver Aladi, a 21-year-old hotel worker, saw the front of the automobile collide with a barrier alongside the bike lane as he observed firefighters battling the blaze.

The ground was very moist, so perhaps it slipped, he told MailOnline.

“It might have been a Mercedes or a BMW. I didn’t observe anyone being hurt or receiving medical attention.

“By the time I got there, it was already on fire, so I don’t know if that’s what started the fire.”

“The police weren’t treating it as a terror situation,” Oliver continued.

The Met Police reported: “On Saturday, January 21 at around 7:20 a.m., a car struck railings by Canada Gate in The Mall SW1.

“The car started burning, so someone called the London Fire Brigade.

“There were put in place road closures. The driver, a man in his 20s, did not sustain any significant wounds.

The event is not being looked into further.
