Melike Gun Kanavuzlar, 15, dropped her device while on a building in Ortaca, Mugla Province, Western Turkey, according to local media. When the teen attempted to retrieve it, she lost her balance and fell four stories to the pavement below.
The disturbing 11-second video, captured by security cameras on neighboring buildings, begins with a bystander strolling down the sidewalk outside the building.
They step out from under the building’s awning, and Kanavuzlar’s body lands with a sickening thud on the concrete next to them.
The teen was rushed to a state hospital in critical condition before being transferred to an Intensive Care Unit in Mugla, Turkey, according to Newsflash. She clung on for an incredible 18 days before succumbing to her injuries.
On October 30, Kanavuzlar was buried.
