MARGOT ROBBIE has spoken about the “humiliating” moment photos of her were leaked from the upcoming Barbie movie.
Margot Robbie, 32, co-stars with Ryan Gosling in the upcoming Barbie film. On-set photos from the film were released in June, along with leaked photos, with Margot detailing the “mortifying” moment.
An image of Will Ferrell, Sex Education star Connor Swindells, and actor/comedian Jamie Demetriou roller skating in suits was also leaked.
The Hollywood actress appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, where he asked her about her new role and the reaction the cast had received from the photos.
“I can’t tell you how mortified we were, by the way,” Margot admitted. We appear to be laughing and having a good time, but we’re actually dying on the inside.
“I thought to myself, ‘This is the most humiliating moment of my life.'”
Jimmy then asked Margot if she was surprised by how much attention the film received.
“No,” Margot replied. I knew we’d get papped once we started doing exteriors.
“Because we stand out a little bit in those outfits, I knew there would be some attention, and probably some photos would get out there, but not like this.” It was insane.”
Greta Gerwig will direct the first live-action film in the franchise, which will star the duo of Barbie and Ken.
The director, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Lady Bird and Little Women, is co-writing the film with her partner, Noah Baumbach.
Margot is married to Tom Ackerly, whom she met while working on the 2013 film Suite Francaise.
The following year, when they began their relationship, Robbie and Ackerley moved in with a group of friends.
