Landry Shamet is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a shooting guard for the Phoenix Suns in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He was born on March 13, 1997, in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in a family of basketball players. His father played college basketball, and his mother was a standout high school player.

Shamet played high school basketball at Park Hill High School in Kansas City, where he was named the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year in 2015.

He then played college basketball at Wichita State University, where he was a two-time All-American Athletic Conference player and helped lead the team to the NCAA tournament in each of his two seasons.

Shamet was selected with the 26th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played for the 76ers for one season before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019.

He played for the Clippers for one season before being traded again, this time to the Brooklyn Nets in 2020. In Brooklyn, he played a key role off the bench, helping the team reach the playoffs.
