Kim S. Pegula is an American entrepreneur and co-owner of the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League with her husband Terry Pegula.
Pegula was born in the South Korean capital of Seoul. She has no memory of her birth name, no record of her biological parents, and no account of her life in South Korea; all she has is her date of birth, a secondhand account of being abandoned in the streets of Seoul at the age of five, and a DNA test that revealed that one of her parents was most likely Japanese. On December 30, 1974, she was taken to the United States and adopted by Ralph and Marilyn Kerr. She grew up in Fairport, New York, a suburb of Rochester, with her adopted family. Pegula was a member of the cheering squad and played bassoon in the school band. She and a roommate made plans to attend Houghton College after following in her brothers’ footsteps and enrolled there.
