Julian Leeser is an Australian politician who currently serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the federal seat of Berowra in New South Wales.
He was born on October 16, 1973, in Sydney, Australia.
Leeser grew up in Sydney and attended the University of New South Wales, where he studied law and arts.
After completing his studies, he worked as a lawyer and then as an executive in the Jewish community, where he focused on issues such as social justice, education, and interfaith relations.
In 2016, Leeser was selected as the Liberal Party candidate for the federal seat of Berowra, which had been held by his predecessor, Philip Ruddock, for over 40 years.
He won the seat in the 2016 federal election and has since been re-elected in the 2019 and 2022 elections.
As an MP, Leeser has been a strong advocate for a range of issues, including education, mental health, social justice, and religious freedom.
He has served on several parliamentary committees, including the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, and the Joint Select Committee on Constitutional Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
Off the field, Leeser is also an accomplished writer and author.
He has written several books, including a biography of former Australian Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies and a memoir about his father’s suicide.

Julian Leeser’s wife is Joanna Davidson. The couple got married in 2007 and they have two children together.
Joanna is also involved in politics and public service, having worked as a senior advisor to several Australian politicians, including former Prime Minister John Howard.
She is currently the CEO of the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
