Jonathan Quick is a retired American professional ice hockey goaltender. He was born on January 21, 1986, in Milford, Connecticut, USA.
Quick played 12 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), all with the Los Angeles Kings.
Quick is best known for his outstanding play during the Kings’ Stanley Cup championship runs in 2012 and 2014.
He won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs, posting 1.41 goals against average and a .946 save percentage, both of which set new NHL records for a single postseason.
Quick also represented the United States at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal in 2010. He announced his retirement from professional hockey in December 2021.
As a youth, Quick played in the 2000 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the New York Rangers minor ice hockey team.
He later played for the Mid Fairfield youth hockey association out of Darien Ice Rink.
