Hilary Nelson, born on 13 December 1972, was American ski climber and the first woman to scale two 8000 m peaks (Everest and Lhotse) in a single 24-hour push on 25 May 2012.
On 30 September 2018, Nelson and partner Jim Morrison made the first ski descent from the summit to the “Dream Line”, Lhotse Couloir.
Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain in the world and Shares a saddle with Mount Everest.
Nelson was named one of the “25 Most Adventurous Women of the Last 25 Years” by Men’s Journal, as well as being named one of National Geographic’s 2018 Adventurers of the Year.
