A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was stabbed to death in a south London high street by up to three men.
Detectives looking into the death of Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov in Downham have detained a 14-year-old boy but are still looking for more suspects.
At 11:50 p.m. on Friday, November 4, police were called to a report of a man who had been repeatedly stabbed.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment but died on Saturday, November 5, in the afternoon.
On Tuesday, November 8, police arrested a teen on suspicion of murder and took him into custody, where he is still being held.
‘Today’s arrest is a positive development, but we know there were up to two more suspects involved,’ said Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Our investigation is ongoing, and we have several lines of inquiry open to try to identify and locate the other individuals.
‘I would urge anyone with information which could assist us to come forward.’
