Edward Earl Reed Jr. is an American football coach and former safety.
He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, where he played on Miami’s 2001 national championship team and was twice named a consensus All-American.
Reed spent the majority of his professional career with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL).

He attended Destrehan High School in Destrehan, Louisiana. With the Fighting Wildcats football team, he was an all-state selection at defensive back and as a kick returner and also the New Orleans Times-Picayune District Most Valuable Defensive Player.
