Richard Wayne Van Dyke (often known simply as Dick Van Dyke) is an American actor, comedian, singer, and dancer who was born on December 13, 1925, in West Plains, Missouri.
He is best known for his roles in a number of iconic television shows and films, including “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Mary Poppins,” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”
Van Dyke started his career in radio before moving on to television and film. His breakout role was on “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” which aired from 1961 to 1966.
