Veteran Ghanaian Actress, Television Personality, and Former Politician, Grace Omaboe, better known as ‘Maame Dokono’ has warned entertainers to desist from partisan politics as it has the tendency of harming their careers.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Show, she highlighted the fact that many political parties are seeking to ride on their popularity to help cut their message across as the general elections draw nearer once they publicly declare their political stand or party affiliation.
According to Maame Dokono, party politics is a no go area for any serious-minded entertainer hence advised the upcoming ones to be careful and remain neutral provided they want a lasting career in the industry.
“The only money you will get from these politicians is during campaign time. Once the momentum is gone, you are in for a doom. Chances of you being cast for any movie role also lessens as no movie producer would want to work with an actor/actress who aligns themselves with a certain political party for fear of losing audience,” she voiced out.
