Hello and welcome to the Chelsea live blog for today, Tuesday, January 10.
The Blues have reached a verbal agreement to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on a six-month loan move, marking another significant breakthrough in the January transfer window.
Graham Potter is having increasing problems on the field, both in terms of injury and outcomes. Chelsea lost to Manchester City for the second time in four days, first falling 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League before losing 4-0 in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic are both expected to miss Chelsea’s next game against Fulham in a London derby at Craven Cottage.
In other transfer news, the Blues continue to pursue agreements for
Marcus Thuram and Mykhaylo Mudryk, but have suffered blows for two transfer targets in Josko Gvardiol and Wilfred Zaha.
With that said, keep the blog on lock as we bring you all the latest from west London.
Joao Felix is set to fly to London in the coming hours to sort out his medical ahead of a loan switch to Chelsea.
The Portugal international has also signed a new deal with Atletico Madrid before making the move.
