Cause Of Death: The wrestling community mourns the loss of Jamin Pugh, better known by his ring name Jay Briscoe. The wrestler, who had been signed by the wrestling promotion ROH (Ring of Honor) since 2022, died at the age of 38.

ROH owner Tony Khan announced the news on Tuesday evening. “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today”, Khan wrote.

The wrestling executive concluded his tweet by praising Briscoe’s achievements and expressing his condolences: “Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH and continue to reign as champions to this day. We’ll do everything we can to help his family. Jamin, may you rest in peace “.

Jay Briscoe was inducted into the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame. His brother Mark Briscoe and he held the ROH World Tag Team Championship 13 times. Among many other honors, the Briscoe brothers held the IWGP World Tag Team Championship.

Wrestler Jay Briscoe’s cause of death: a car accident

Briscoe was killed in a car accident in Laurel, Delaware on Tuesday, January 17th. He was traveling with two other people when the crash happened at 5:30 p.m. ET. According to Delaware State Police, one of the passengers died as well.
