As we reported earlier that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has finally bowled to pressure and about to address the nation about the ongoing violence in the country, He did exactly just that but it looks like he has rather angered many than the peace talk everyone was expecting from him.
During the protest, a lot of people all over the world showed their support to the protesters in an attempt to find solutions to the situation and this includes neighboring fellow africa leaders.
Unfortunately, actions of the members of the international community and neighboring countries does not go down well with the president as he subtly told them to mind their Business because he feels they take positions without seeking without seeking to know the facts available .
“To our neighbors in particular and the members of the international community , many of whom have expressed concern about the ongoing development in Nigeria, we thank you and urge you all to Seek to know all the facts available before taking position…” the president said
It can be recalled Just yesterday that the Ghanaian President who double as the chairman of ECOWAS sent a series of tweet claiming he held talks with his Nigeria counterpart to calm tempers of the ongoing incidents. He wrote “ I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end , and has begun the processes that will lead to reform”.
With Buhari’s comment in his Address today , everyone will be wondering what exactly they spoke about and if Buhari is indeed committed to ending all this unfortunate happenings.
