Bryan Patrick Reynolds is a professional baseball player who currently plays as an outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB).
He was born on January 27, 1995, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Reynolds attended Vanderbilt University and played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores from 2014 to 2016.
During his time at Vanderbilt, Reynolds was named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Year in 2014, and he was also named to the SEC All-Freshman Team that same year. In 2016, he was named a Third-Team All-American by Baseball America.
After his junior year at Vanderbilt, Reynolds was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the second round of the 2016 MLB draft.
He spent the next two seasons in the Giants’ minor league system before being traded to the Pirates in January 2018.
Reynolds made his MLB debut with the Pirates on April 20, 2019, and quickly established himself as a key player for the team.
In his rookie season, he batted .314 with 16 home runs and 68 RBIs in 134 games, finishing fourth in the National League Rookie of the Year voting.
In 2020, Reynolds continued his strong play, batting .189 with seven home runs and 19 RBIs in 44 games during the shortened season. He also won a Gold Glove Award for his exceptional defense in left field.
