Bryan Christopher Kohberger has been named as the suspect in the murders of four University of Idaho students six weeks ago.
Bryan Christopher Kohberger was apprehended by the FBI and local cops in Scranton, Pennsylvania, around 3 a.m. this morning.
The arrest is the first significant development in the murders of Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, both 21, and Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, both 20, in an off-campus student home in Moscow, Idaho, on November 13.
Two other roommates were also present at the time of the murders but were unharmed.
Kohberger is being held for extradition in connection with a criminal homicide investigation based on a first-degree murder arrest warrant issued by the Moscow Police Department and the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger is a college student, but he does not attend the University of Idaho.
Kohberger is believed to be a Ph.D. student at Washington State University.
Bryan Christopher Kohberger is 28 years old.
According to the college website, Kohberger attended the college in Pullman, which is about a 15-minute drive from where the students were killed.
He earned a master of arts in criminal justice from DeSales University in Pennsylvania in May 2022.
