Buzz Aldrin, the legendary astronaut, married his longtime girlfriend Anca Faur, 63, on his 93rd birthday.
Aldrin, the second person to set foot on the Moon after Neil Armstrong, announced the happy news on Twitter, revealing that the couple married in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, California.

“On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot,” the NASA legend tweeted.
“We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers.”
The tweet was accompanied by two photos from the private ceremony, in which the new Mrs. Aldrin wore a rhinestone-encrusted white gown.
Aldrin, for his part, looked dapper in a black suit and a bowtie.

The astronaut is not saying “I Do” for the first time.
Aldrin had three previous marriages, the first with Joan Archer in 1954. Before their marriage ended in divorce in 1974, the couple welcomed three children: James, Janice, and Andrew.

Aldrin later married his second wife, Beverly Van Zile, in 1975, but their marriage ended in divorce just three years later.
A decade later, Aldrin married his third wife, Lois Driggs Cannon. They were married for 24 years before splitting up in 2012.
Aldrin shot to fame after completing three spacewalks during his glittering career as an astronaut.
