Are Rafael Nadal and his wife expecting a baby?
Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello are expecting their first child together, according to reports. Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello won Roland Garros a few weeks ago.
The Spaniard defeated Casper Ruud in the final of the French Open to earn a record 14th Roland Garros and his 22nd Grand Slam title.
Perello revealed her new maternity silhouette in a swimsuit after being spotted wearing a comfortable dress in the Paris final, according to magazine Hola!
Back in 2017, Nadal expressed his desire to have kids in the future.
“I have the intention and hope of forming a family,” Nadal said.
“I love children and I would like my children to do what they like.”
He also mentioned the hypothetical scenario of having children three years later, indicating that he would want them to devote time of their lives to sports.
“I would like them to play sport, whatever they want,” Nadal stressed.
“I think that there are sports, not all of them, obviously, that help to grow up with the right values of companionship, effort, respect, and I think that it is a good educational model for young people. So, yes, I would like that.
“But sport is not the only way to get a good education. There are others that are also very valid.
“But I, as a sportsman and knowing what the world of sport is like, I would really like them to be sportsmen and sportswomen in some way. I’m not saying professionals, but that they have the spirit of being sportsmen and women.”
