Some 24 Chinese and 1 German was denied entry into Ghana according to a report by Starrfm.com.gh.
This was revealed by the Information Ministry as a step in preventing people from entering the country with the deadly coronavirus.
Ghana has so far recorded 7 cases and all the cases indicate that people carry it from other countries into Ghana.
Hence, the need for the necessary authorities to stop every new person coming in.
Addressing a Press Conference, the Ghana Immigration Service revealed that several flights have also been refused to land in the country following the government’s decision to prevent flights from countries with more than 200 infections.
An Ethiopian Airline which managed to land at the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday was refuelled and asked to fly back to its destination with all the passengers on board.
Another German and two Australians who attempted to enter Ghana through the Aflao border were also stopped and sent back to their countries. Another Nigerian who had returned from South Korea and was attempting to enter Ghana through the Aflao border was also denied entry.
